New Brunswick, Canada, March 18, 2010 – Remsoft announced today that Operations Research expert Karl Walters has joined their team as a Senior Solutions Analyst.

“Karl knows Remsoft technology and services inside out, he has a strong analytical mind and he’s always given us valuable insight and feedback; we could not be happier to welcome him on board,” said Andrea Feunekes, Remsoft Co-Founder and Co-CEO. “Between his OR expertise and his experience using Remsoft solutions in the real world, Karl’s skill-set will complement the strengths of the team we already have in place.”

Based in Washington State, Karl will contribute to research and development, solutions design and support services to the Business Development team. He will also help to serve Remsoft’s growing Pacific North-West client base.

Karl was involved in the early development of Remsoft software. He has trained dozens of users, and has extensive practical experience using the technology in his day-to-day work as a modeler, analyst and researcher over the past 20 years.

Commenting on rejoining his old friends at Remsoft, Karl said: “From its roots in forestry, it is amazing to see Remsoft’s expansion into new markets. Karl’s career has been dedicated to providing forest management consulting services across North America, with special attention to timberland valuations and resource allocation and scheduling under spatial and temporal constraints.

Most recently Karl worked with FORSight Resources, timberland acquisition and forest management experts, in Washington, where he furthered his forest management analysis expertise consulting to leading players in the forest and finance industry.
