Configuring the toolbar in the Woodstock editor
When you are building a Woodstock model, you'll often want easy access to other applications to help build or review the input data or the model. For example, Woodstock builds models in ASCII files, but invariably users want to check the models in the course of building them and often use a program like Microsoft Excel to do so.
The Woodstock editor makes it easy to customize the toolbar and add other applications - such as Word, Internet Explorer, Notepad, etc. - so they are just a click away.
Adding an application
To add an application to the Woodstock toolbar:
1. Right click on the right hand side of the tool bar (that is, to the right of the existing icons.)
2. A prompt will appear that asks the program name to be added. Click on the Browse button to find the program in your directory.
3. Optionally, you can enter command line Parameters. Use this cell if you commonly pass command line parameters when you run the application, otherwise, we recommend that you leave it blank.
4. We recommend that you leave blank the 'Start in' cell so that each time the program is started from the Woodstock Editor toolbar, it will start the application in the model folder, making it faster and easier to keep all relevant files in one place.
5. Click OK to place the program icon on the Woodstock toolbar.
