HQPlantations has selected Remsoft optimization modeling technology to support strategic and tactical planning for sustainable forest management.
Remsoft is proud to support HQPlantations with optimization modeling technology for their strategic and tactical planning activities, to sustainably manage their 320,000 hectares of forest as well as protected native forests. Remsoft supports Hancock Natural Resources Group globally and is now pleased to welcome HQPlantations, based in Queensland, Australia to their client base.
HQPlantations’ Group Manager Resources, Kevin Cooney, says: “We are really looking forward to improving visibility and integration between our strategic and tactical planning, adding spatial optimization and expanding the scenario analysis capabilities available to the resources team.”
HQPlantations sustainably manages 320,000 hectares of forest throughout the state of Queensland. These plantations produce up to 2.3 million cubic metres of logs annually that support both domestic and export industries. As well as supplying plantation logs, HQPlantations protects native forests which provide a range of conservation, community, and other values.
Refined and innovated over nearly three decades, Remsoft’s Woodstock Optimization Studio is an integrated optimization modeling platform with robust prescriptive analytics capabilities that can help forest managers to improve decisions, resource, and asset management.
